V. Pray for us, all you saints of Carmel,
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: Almighty and merciful God, Who rejoices us by the memory of all the saints of the Carmelite Order, grant that, inspired by their example and merits, we may live for You alone in the continual observance of Your law and in the perfect abnegation of self, and that we may attain to perfect happiness with them in heaven, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
INTERCESSIONS: WE GLORIFY YOU, LORD!
Lord, You called your people into the desert, to make with them a covenant of love, – renew Your covenant with us in Jesus Christ.
You have made us brothers and sisters under the protection of Mary, to keep your Word and treasure it in our hearts; – help us to be like her, serving Christ and sharing in the work of salvation.
You called us to imitate Elijah, living in intimacy with You: – by living always in Your presence, may we grow in your love and be zealous for your glory.
You raised up our family in the Church to live in holiness, longing for mystical union with You in prayer and contemplation; – may we always seek your face, and so be able to teach others the way of friendship with you.
You gave our saints such zeal and charity that they were not afraid to lay down their lives for their brothers and sisters; -help us to bear the death of Christ in our bodies as we give our lives for the work of redemption.
Keep our communities in peace and make us one in mind and heart.
May we remain faithful to our vocation.
May the Spirit of Joy and Love always guard our hearts and guide our actions!
We commend all of our living members needs, physical, emotional and spiritual to Your most Sacred Heart.
May the souls of our departed brothers and sisters receive your consolation and be united with You forever in the courts of heaven.
