Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites of the California/Arizona Province welcomes all Denver Colorado, faithful Catholics, who by special vocation, undertake to live in the world, the evangelical life of fraternal communion with all other friars, nuns, priests, lay men and women as we strive to follow the example and teachings of the Carmelite Saints.

Secular Carmelites come from all walks of life, men and women, young and old, married and single as we try to respond to God’s call to conform to His will, “meditate on the Lord’s law, day and night.”

Through conformity to God’s will, as Secular Carmelites we try to show God’s love in our everyday lives, wherever God leads us and with the people God gives us.

We are called to live in community, “in the world but not of the world.” We currently meet in-person on the second Saturday of the month at St. Thomas More Parish in Centennial, Co.

We follow the Rule of St. Albert, the OSCD Constitutions, and the Provincial Statutes, which are used to help us transform into the people God desires us to be.

“Prayer is nothing  else than an intimate sharing between friends; it means taking time frequently
to be alone with Him who we know loves  us.”   St. Teresa of  Avila
